For many of us, an overly stressed life has become our new normal. Our culture extols that of achieving, producing, and doing. We rush from one activity to the next, wearing a badge of honor. If we have a brief pause in between, our habit is to fill it with something productive, or else we feel guilty. In this worldview, un-rushing is a sign of non-efficiency, slacker, not giving your all.  In a holistic view, un-rushing is  a key essential component for overall good health and wellbeing. 

Tip #1 – Today pick two tasks that you will take action on. Nothing more. Put everything else on the shelf until tomorrow. Repeat the same action each day.

Tip #2 – If you need to be somewhere at a certain time – set a reminder in your phone clock or watch to leave 30 minutes before you need to arrive. This in itself will allow you not rush and arrive – calm – ready for what is next. You’ll be amazed how this small habit will positively impact your day.
